Who We Are
Owner Marisa Roberts inherited her love of cooking from her grandmother, Olive Grace, who casually entertained guests with elegance. The creative attention to detail is a tradition that has been passed on in Marisa’s family for generations and is reflected in every menu. Our Kansas City based company has catered events of 2-500 guests in a vast line up of venues. We are one of Kansas City’s premiere caterers.
Our kitchen is located in Kansas City, Kansas. We boast that we have the most beautiful kitchen in the city. Our facility overlooks acres of trees and a large pond, which are visited frequently by wild turkeys and deer.
Marisa started her professional training in the Culinary Department at Johnson County Community College in 1994.
Her apprenticeship started at Club 427 under Chefs Jennifer Maloney and Laurie Thomas. She then moved to Café Allegro where she was a pastry chef and Sous Chef, training under Steve Cole. In 2002, Marisa ventured out to begin her catering company.
Olive Events prides itself on hospitality for all types of events for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, wine dinners, and Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s. Olive Events had the distinct honor of being selected as the caterer for the President of the United States in May 2008.
Our entire staff will tend to every detail necessary to make your event successful. The goal for each event is to exceed your expectations as well as those of your guests.
